At Gongfu, Ottawa’s kickass little bao cart shop, they serve handcrafted steamed buns (bao) & a whole lot more. Chinese & Taiwanese culinary traditions are at the heart of how they craft their bao. We love the Gongfu story: Tarek began by crowdfunding to start a food cart. The Bao cart was so successful they’ve now opened a bricks & mortar location in the heart of Centretown. All the names of the people who helped crowdfund the cart are written on the wall above the kitchen to say thank you. The food is fabulous and the entire Gongfu team is a pleasure to know. We had a great time filming at Gongfu!
